One of our new goalkeepers.

Our under 9 and under 11 sections train at riverview Monifieth on a Tuesday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. This week saw the girls playing in weather that was perfect for football and we were delighted to be joined by several new players who have recently come along to play. It was a hugely enjoyable evening with our coaches Craig and Ally.

In view of an earlier post that we put up on our site about the growth in the club we would like to add that there are now 21 players in this section so the future of the club is looking good with more and more young players comning through our ranks… and with a number of new players soon to be making their Monifieth debut!

….always room for more players if you or your daughter/s are interested! If so give us a shout.

Without the help, commitment and enthusiasm of our coaches Monifieth Ladies FC just would not work. We are very lucky to have a number of coaches who exhibitit those aforementioned qualities in bucket loads. Ally Kerr is one of the coaches at Monifieth Ladies FC. Along with Craig Duncan and Graham Mearns he takes responsibility for coaching and running of our U9 team. Steve first started coming along when his daughter expresed an interest in playing football and eventually he got more and more involved in helping with the coaching. Ally has been onvolved with youth football before having helped out with his son's team. He is already a Grade 3 SFA qualified coach and will no doubt be an asset to the club as we move forward!

We had a chat with Ally about how he got involved with Monifieth Ladies FC and what he gets out of coaching and running the teams – have a listen:
